SPORTS & FITNESS
At the Rooted Friends Project, we recognize the importance of physical activity in a child's development. Unfortunately, recent studies have shown that children's exercise habits have become more sedentary in the past 20 years. That's why we are committed to providing access to a range of athletic programs, including fencing, gymnastics, and Muay Thai kickboxing, to name just a few.
Research has shown that children who are more fit tend to perform better on tests of memory than less fit children. Additionally, children who compete in competitive athletics develop a sense of fairness and competition that they carry with them well into adulthood. With our athletic programs, we aim to promote healthy habits, enhance cognitive function, and cultivate important life skills in our community's children.
